It looks like I am out through the beginning of gun season. I've had some surgery on my hands and I'm going to need something light weight/light recoil.I've been wanting a cdl sf in 7-08 since I have seen they were available. I was just curious if anyone had any feedbck on them?

Any CDL SF is good. I love my SF .30-06.

The CDL SF`s are great rifles.
The issue was weight and there are other options.

The CDL SF could stand to be about a pound lighter and have a lighter trigger but its a wicked rifle.

Thanks for the info guys. I talked to a smaller shop in the area and they gave me a great quote on a cdl sf in 7-08. I'm definitely looking forward to it coming in.....hopefully it'll be here in a week or so. Gonna have to find someone to sight it in for me because I'm down with my hands for a while but I bet this rifle will be my favorite......I've been wanting one for quite a while now.

will do.
I think memfuzzz is gonna sight it in for me and we're gonna play with the trigger to see if we can get it down a bit. Right now I doubt I can pull a 2.5lb trigger so it is definitely going to have to get down in the sub 3lb range and if that doesn't work out I'll just go ahead and throw an aftermarket trigger assembly in it. I guess after the season is over I'll look for a youth stock and setup the action for the boys for next year.
