reseeded my food plots again, only about 30% germinated from last seeding. i hope with this rain i get better relults. planted oats winter peas clover and rape. for some resone the deer do not like to eat the rape, they eat it a little in very late winter. i got 3/4 of an inch of rain as of 8 am. hopeing to get more. trees really need a good drink before they go dornmant.lots of lower limbs are dead on trees. saw a red fox this morning while taking my daughter to the bus stop.

me too! I reseeded my plot as well. It may not do much, but I bet it will grow more out there than it would have in my garage!

Rain also looks good next week, so I may reseed this weekend in the sections of my plots that aren't doing well.

me too....BSK, after you told me a while back "how surprisingly little the turkeys actually get" when they savagely raked out my Aug20 oat seeding....you're right, all I needed was a little rain, I still probably only have about a 50% germination, but I do have little patches of green sprouting here and there in my main plot. Before the rain last night, I went out Tuesday and threw down 2 lbs of Seven Top turnip green seeds in the rougher/bald areas of my plot..I'll obviously have to stay away until germination..but I don't stake-out over my plots anyway, I've got plenty brush and broomsticks to hunt over..maybe it will fill in with the next 3-4 weeks...but I'm done till spring....
