The 270 I have is exactly like it and I bought mine new in the early 70's.

444marlin, I talked a friend of mine into buying that gun a few years ago from a man in johnsoncity. I have one just like it. I did a little trigger work to the one you have now, it should be nice and crisp. I can't believe buzzr sold it, i;d hang on to it.

The older Remingtons seem to me to have better fit and finish than the newer stuff. I have an older ADL that runs like it's on ball bearings...Newer stuff doesn't do that unless it's a Sako.
