Need some input here. I purchased a new rifle, 700 Rem. LSS .300 Win Mag. I need a scope for it. Birthday's comin' up and the wife came home with a Nikon Monarch 3 X 9 X 50 BDC. Here's the problem: That's a dang nice scope. Lotta $$$ for me. Here's my possible solution: Take my Leupold Rifleman 3 X 9 X 50 off my T/C Mzl., which is sighted in perfectly and put it on the .300 Win Mag? Then, trade down the Monarch to maybe an Omega 3 X 9 X 50 BDC for the Mzl.? Or do I need the BDC period?

If you take 150-300 yd shots during ML season that may be a good option.

That's the thing. I hunt one place in Robertson County that is exclusively mzl because of the terrain that has the potential for those shots. Most of my shots are less than 150yrds.

No, but I work with weapon optics and IMO Nikon is the best deal for the money right now.
