Saw where you referenced a 7wsm. How many rounds have you shot with that caliber? What has been your opinion of the round? Saw an article that listed it as a caliber on the chopping block. But it peaks my interest.

I've shot maybe 40 rounds through it so far. I like the caliber alot. It's flat shooting and fun to shoot. I bought a ton of ammo for close to 75% off on Midwayusa and I reload so I don't think I will have a problem finding ammo. I got 6 boxes of the Federal 160 grain Trophy bonded bear claws and honestly, I think they recoil more than my 300 WSM. I can't wait to take it in the field.

the sectional denisity of that 7mm round then again any 7 mm round when compared to calibers that are bigger but the same weight and velocity makes it a more efficent projectile according to most of the articles i have read over the last 30 years . when the 7mm mauser came out in the mid 1890's alot of big game hunters found it had better penetration due to its denisty for the caliber, when compaered to other bigger calibers shooting the basically same design bullet,weight and velocity
