Been considering adding a new rifle to the safe and the new Remington Stainless fluted CDL walnut is the best looking gun Ive seen in along time. However for the same price I could get a Kimber 84m classic in Walnut. Has anybody shot the SF CDL? The Kimber?
Im also torn between a 270wsm and a 308.

I have a Kimber 8400 in 270 WSM. It shoots 1/2-3/4 inch groups with handloads and factory 130 gr Fed Ballistic Tips. The triggers are nice from the factory, and it weighs less and is shorter over all than the Remmy. Personally I like the looks alot more, but then again I'm no Remmy fan. I dont understand why in the world the prices for Remmys have gotten so high, I dont really think you get what you are paying for like you did a few years ago.

The ballistics on a 270 WSM are way better than a 308. They are better than a 300 WSM even. Better velocity, energy, and drop. http://www.remington.com/products/ammuni...WSMB*PRA270WSMB

KIMBER all the way. It's just a higher quality product for the $$$.

ditto....
The choices are way apart with the 308 and 270WSM.
From a factory ammo standpoint the 308 gets the nod.

270 WSM performs way, way better than a 308.
I like the Kimbers, but if I chose a WSM round I would go with the Remingtons. A 7mm-08 or 308, I would go with a Kimber.
