Hey all, new to TN as of a few months ago, and since gun season is approaching fast, I'm wondering where I might be able to shoot my rifle. 100 yards would be enough to get by and check zero, 300 would be nicer for me to get some practical shooting in.
I know TNWRA has some public firing ranges around... are they worth checking out? I'm a little wary of public ranges, but if they're not overrun by inconsiderate fools, I'll be OK.
Thanks!

With the amount of time you have coming up, you will probably have to go the route of a public range. Prentice Cooper comes to mind...It's an OK range that's free.
If you are wanting to get involved with a more sanctioned range, check out Chattanooga Rifle Clib (http://www.chatrifleclub.org/). This is one of the finest ranges around Chattanooga but prepared for a waiting list to get on and you have to have a current member sponsor you to become a member. I have only been to this range once as a guest and it was _nice_. They have multiple distance ranges as well as machine gun competitions, etc.

Spring Creek in benton and sumac creek in cisco georgia. But those are out of the question because apperantly everyone and their friggin brothers live there.
