done some shooting today when I picked up the emptys noticed some primers had holes Burnt thur where the firing pin struck. What causes this ammo probaly 7 years old.

It could be any of several things. It could be high pressure. It could be soft primers. It could be poor firing pin fit or damage. That kind of thing can ruin your firing pin. I'd check the pin for damage and try some other ammo and proceed with caution. If you don't mind my asking what kind of ammo was it? Seven years isn't that old if it was stored properly.

rem ammo had some 100 gr an some 60 grain only done it with 60 grain and several of the 6os just clicked all 100s done fine.

Whelen is spot on. It sounds like you have pierced some primers due to the loads being too hot for your gun. Repeated firings can damage your bolt face causing other issues...Were you primers real flat after you fired them (i.e. were the edges flat or radiused)? I would discontinue using these until I figured out what was going on.

One other question...Do you have a lot of copper fouling in your barrel? If so, this could be raising the pressure.
