I put out some winter wheat and DER. The DER is coming up but the winter wheat isnt yet. Well the turkeys have dug a ton up! Should I over seed when it starts coming up? what should I do??

I`d overseed, and then change their diet. Take a sack of black sunflower seeds and spread them to feed on.

I had to reseed because of mine. I agree I'd reseed or over seed then attempt to persuade them to go some where else.

Trot line baited with yellow hominy will take care of this problem.

Yeah they are now roosting right above my plot in a big oak. 20-30 of them!

Those darn seed-eating, acorn-eating feathered rats drive me crazy. But you would be surprised how little of seed they will actually get. I had buckwheat seed on top the ground for two months before it got rained on, yet the turkey definitely got far less than half the seed.

But I still hate those feathered bas&*#ds...

I would like to have ALL OF THEM trapped and removed from my place. Hate 'em.

Only if you kill all the hens too!

(..or at least make them "disappear" permanently) ;\)

If it is true viable sunflower seed, I can't see how it would be baiting. I broadcast all my seed on top the ground.

I would still consider top-sowing those oats, especially if you can do so just a couple days before a rain.
