Took to the field early this morning with the new set up on an actual hunt. I carried the new Alpha Assault stand and the climbing sticks by Lone Wolf also. Here are the pluses and minus'. A scale of 1-10 with 10 being best.
The ease of carry of the sticks which secure to the stand for a total weight of 18.5 lbs for the 4 stick/stand set.......9
Quietness of stick/stand set up.........9 Time required to set up.................7 Ease of stick/stand set up..............8 Stability and stand bite on tree........8 Stand platform space....................8 Stand seat comfort......................5
Over all I'm very impressed with the set-up. It was easier than I expected, carrying was easier, but the only real issue I had was the seat comfort. The use of 3 sticks had the base of stand at about 15 feet above ground. I had to stand about 10 minutes of every hour to get the blood to flow back to my buttocks, but then again I didn't get the rig for comfort. Over all this helped me maintain better vigilance than a more comfortable stand. Overall score...8

Nice setup . I like my LW sticks too ,but I still like my Summit climber for mobility , ease of setup , transport , and comfort . I haven't tried the Lone Wolf stand yet . They need to work on their seats to increase comfort before I'll buy one .

I'm surprised that the seat isn't more comfortable... I had heard they were the cat's meow. For seat comfort in a lockon you can't beat a loggy bayou.
