Buy a Handi Rifle new. They are cheap, accurate and a great gun for kids.

I agree, a Handi-Rifle is your best choice..Head to Wal-Mart(as much as I hate to say it)

Get a Stevens 200! I have one in the .308 and love it!
I also have a Handi in a .243 and the Stevens will out shoot it.
About the same price too!
I like the Handis but alot a time has to be spent on some of them to get them to shoot good, the Stevens should shoot well right out of the box with factory ammo. Jmo.
