It's time to talk scopes.This scope will be on my thompson encore pro hunter 28" s/s flutted. Most shots are from 25 yards to 200 yards in these tennessee mountains. I like the big 50mm and something around a 3-9 x50mm or a 2.5-10 x 50mm. I WANT A SCOPE WITH ALOT OF LIGHT GATHERING FEATURES. iT NEEDS TO BE REDNECK TOUGH, WATER PROOF, SHOCK PROOF AND ALWAYS DEAD ON.
i HAVE A REDFIELD ILLUMINATOR NOW 2.5X10X50MM, AWESOME SCOPE, BUT THE FRONT LENSE CRACKED ON ME LAST YEAR AND THE PLACE I SCENT IT TOO STILL HAS IT AND SAY IT WILL BE AROUND FEB. BEFORE THEY COULD GET IT BACK. sO WHAT SAY YOU????

Depends on how much green you wanna turn loose..Myself, I like Leupold(VX-II/VX-III)..I just got a Bushnell 3200 Elite for my muzzleloader..For the money seems like a really good one...

Believe Nikon makes a scope specifically for the Encore/Pro Hunter. Think it is the Omega.

There for a second I thought you were talking about me. Well, maybe in my younger years. My vote's for Burris or Leupold, but if you've got the other scope coming back maybe you just need a junker for a few months and could live that way. Then again, a man's always in need of a good reason to get new gear.

Since it was a Redfield, I will assume that you sent it to Weaver/Simmons/Redfield repair. Call them up and get Cory on the phone. Tell him what is going on and that the WAIT past season IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. RAISE ALL cain and get your point across. Cory will get you taken care of.
