Been using this stuff for years, here's the recipe I'm sure some of you guys may have seen it, but for those who haven't.
2 cups Hydrogen Peroxide
2 cups Distilled Water
1/4 cup baking soda
1 0z scent free liquid soap/shampoo.
Mix in say a gallon jug, leave it alone for a while with the cap loose and pour it in a spray bottle.
Found it in the search

How about the peroxide that is 27 percent. How much do you have to dilute it down to get it safe to spray on your skin.

Sorry,
I am just forwarding on the old thread from last yr. It did say 3% peroxide later on in the thread, and let it sit for 3 days to complete its chemical mixture.
I would try and get the 3% peroxide instead of diluting the mixture.

turkeyhunter,
Here is the long version posted later in the thread.
How It's Done Step 1: Shop Assemble the ingredients: 2 cups (16 ounces) 3% hydrogen peroxide 2 cups (16 ounces) distilled water ˝ cup baking soda 1 ounce unscented shampoo (available at drug or health-food stores)
Step 2: Mix Gently combine all the ingredients in a large bowl until the baking soda dissolves. Pour this mixture into a 1-gallon lidded container, such as a milk jug. Let it sit for three days with the lid on loosely to allow gases to escape.
Step 3: Bottle Fill a plastic bottle that has a trigger sprayer with the scent killer. It must be clean, so buy a new one from a hardware store or online (usplastics.com).
Step 4: Wipe To make scent-killing wipes, place plain brown multifold paper towels—the kind that come in stacks, not on a roll—in a small plastic tub with an airtight lid. Cover them with scent killer and let it soak in. Pour out excess liquid and replace the lid. Now you can wipe down boots, bows, and stands, and even use a towel or two to neutralize the sweat you produce shinnying up that perfect white oak.

Thanks for the information. I have a gallon of the 27 percent peroxide that you put in pools, that I no longer use. I was wanting to use it. I will have to test my math skills and see if I can get the stuff down to 3 percent.

Easy to do. Just mix one ounce of the 27 percent peroxide with one cup (8 oz) of water. That will give you 9 ounces of 3 percent H2O2. If you want to make just over a quart, it's 1/2 cup (4 ounces) of 27 percent and one quart of water.
Oh, one important note: use distilled water if possible and avoid any chlorine smell.
I made my own scent killer last year using the "recipe" found here and it seems to have worked well. I just saved a few ounces of Baquacil from the last time I shocked the pool, and had the rest of the stuff on hand.
Will I do it this year? Don't know - I made a gallon of mix last year, and only used about a quart. Being naturally lazy, I may just pick up some of the SilverXP and give that a try this year instead.

I have a recipe that says the hydrogen peroxide that is already diluted has something in it that gives it a scent. It claims that by diluting it yourself that it is better. I'll see if I can find the link.
