I just can't shoot momma with fawns in tow. I tried once but I just couldn't do it. Don't blame anyone for doing it but I just can't.

The worst part about it is when you are field dressing the doe and the little ones come up and then go 'maaamma... mmaammaa...'

Heck yea I do. In 2-3 weeks them fawns will be gray and just a "small doe". I don't see any point in holding out for three weeks just so they LOOK older.

I did the same as crzy4deer last year and almost had to chunck rocks at them. would i do it again? depends on the mood i was in.

year before last, I took a doe with 2 lilones, but there was another doe with her and the fawns went with her.

Of course when I hit her she went streight doewn and started belowing (sp) and the fawns didn't know why she couldn't move.

I doubt I will do it again. there will be plenty of chances to fill the freezer later, without making myself regreat a shot.

but it was a good shot. ;\)
