Navy Mustang and cdw338. What exactly is wrong with the tagline of tnhunter16. It is nothing more than an interservice rivalry joke. It has absolutely nothing to do with the fallen. I can tell you for a fact that tnhunter16 has served his time and has served as an honor gaurd member at no less than five yes five funerals for his fallen comrads in the last year. If you are truly a Navy Mustang, you are too high strung to be an Officer and a Gentleman. If you can't take it, don't read it. You are more than welcome to call me a Jarhead because I am proud to be one. Obviousely, as a SQUID, you should spend more time on board a vessle carrying Marines into combat while you wait in the relative safety of the open ocean. Think before you react and judge anyone by a joke. Read my tagline and tell me if it offends you. If so, you have gone over to the other side of political correctness. Judge not lest ye be judged. A joke is a joke and nothing more. As a Purple Heart winner and Bronze Star recipient for heroism, I think you jumped the gun by your demands. Now, go and polish your little National Defense Service Medal and let the REAL warriors do the job of winning wars without your petty comments and hyper-sensitivity.

I really don't give a big !@#$ on your worthless opinion. As far as interservice humor goes... you are the joke. Mr. 20 year E-6. I guess Gunny was a little out of your reach. As far as tnhunter16 is concerned, I took the time to look at his profile before I wrote a anything. Serving in an honor guard is hardly doing ones time. He can make interservice jokes when he finishes his first tour. On another note, it seems to be a trend with fake Marines bragging about unearned medals. I read and see it all the time. Most have enough honor to not brag about them. I would guess from your post you were a peace time Marine. Enjoy your hard earned retirement. Let me guess, you were forced out for injuries sustained in combat or high year tenure for E-6?
BTW, I've spent 35 months total since 2001 in the sand box, pretty far from the safety of the open ocean. Hell, I even road a plane to get there. The Navy stopped transporting troops in the 50's.

First of all, your foolishness of starting this mess on an open and public forum was in and of itself ignorant. ~2 I am no joke.
~3 I did not say anything about 20 years, E-6 is a paygrade I am a Staff Sergeant. So, you ever wonder why Marine Staff Sergeants eat in the Chief's Mess? It is because we are Staff Non-Commissioned Officers and a Petty Officer 1st Class is not.
~4 Gunnery Sergeant was not out of reach.
~5 I believe, serving in the Honor Guard or just plain serving is doing one's time, first tour or not.
~6 I am not a fake Marine, I've got a tattoo and everything.
~7 I try not to brag about my medals. However, on this issue I thought it was necessary. Believe me, my medals were earned and not just passed out for graduating boot camp. Also, If I want to brag a little that is my right.
~8 I served during peacetime and wartime.
~9 My hard earned retirement comes in the form of a nice check.
~10 I left the Corps because of a reduction in force. I saw the open door and took it. I don't even know if I could have done 20. It's tough on the body.
~11 And finally. I was aboard the USS Comstock, LSD-45 and the Navy does in fact transport troops.

A Soldier, a Sailor, an Airman, and a Marine got into an argument one night about which service was the best (go figure, right?).
The arguing became so heated that none of the four servicemen saw the truck that was barreling down the road towards them. The driver failed to see them, and all four of them were killed instantly.
Soon, the servicemen found themselves at the Pearly Gates of Heaven. There they met with Saint Peter, and, figuring that he would be a good source of Ultimate Truth and Total Honesty, asked of Peter: "Saint Peter, which branch of the United States Armed Forces is the best?"
Saint Peter replied, "I can't answer that. However, I will ask God what he thinks the next time I see Him. Meanwhile, thank you for your service on Earth, and welcom e to Heaven."

Glad you took the time to reply. Can't say I agree with everything, but enuff said.
BTW, 24 years Active Duty (13 of that enlisted) and still counting. Back to the sand box in 4 months.
If your indeed a friend of tnhunter16, I recommend he deletes this post. We both got out of hand.
