Yes, it's high. I've been trading with them for many years. I usually go elsewhere if I want some fly tying materials or basics that anybody else has. If I want knowledge, though, that's where I go.
John Allen, owner, has been around a long time, and I trust his gun knowledge. They also have a collection of fine guns that is hard to beat. Many of the really expensive items are just very high-end items.
Steve Sylvis, head of the fly fishing shop, is also very knowledgeable (about fishing and hunting).
It is pricey, but you get what you pay for, and sometimes you save money by getting quality information. They know their stuff IMO.
