Greets Fm CO I have quite a few sized, trimmed and primed brass for my .338 that have been primed for a couple years. They have been just sittting there without the powder or bullet in them, exposed to air. They are inside in a temp controlled room. Will they still be good and dependable? I wanted to load them for an upcoming bull moose hunt here in CO. Thanks Ray

primers are cheap, if in doubt/ change them out.
I would think they should be ok, like mentioned above load a few and test fire or test fire a few in the chamber.

Change the primers, then you will have no doubts. I keep my primed brass in ziplock bags until ready for use.

They're fine for 20-30 years or so... after that, they would still probably work just fine.
Remember, they're not sealed air tight in the primer trays to start with.
I've got a few 15 year old primers and don't give them a second thought.
Now get em close to oil and you've got another story

What he said. Ive got the same primers that I used when I started reloading 7 years ago. They work fine.

No different than sitting in a CCI tray of 100. They work fine if they were in a controlled env. like you said they were.
