I've got a arizona ez fletch and it looks like I could refletch bolts with it. Flat noks would be no big thing but with half moon noks be tricky to get a total line up. Do you refletch your own bolts? Any tips? cleaning off the bolt with what?? Glue choice?? The ez fletch has a small helical is that a problem or do bolts fly better straight fletch?? thanks.b

I just refletched some with those shrink-wrap type fletchings and it seems to have done the trick.

I used to fletch my own arrows and would love to build my own bolts but don't see to much build your own stuff. I shoot carbons so I really don't have a clue about getting out the half nok yet anyway. Thanks for the ideas guys Good hunting this year.

I clean my shafts with acetone, I tried 6 different glue types and I like Loctite gel the best from lowes. If you look inside the ez fletch where the nock sits there is a steel pin that is adjustable to line up the cock vane, should not be a problem doing moon nocks good luck, Stosh

Trick to use A EZ jig. Don't install half moon nok until shaft is fletched. Set end inside til it rests on nok slot put glue on all 3 vanes or fethers. Then release bottom of jig first and then put coller on snug. You can't put flame on carbon to melt old glue, it messes up the carbon.

I can't help you if you use carbons but I shot 18-1/8" SuperSlams in 2219 fletched w/3 5" Duravanes. I used Tenpoints Flo-Orange knocks. They have a square hole in the end - into which a special "tool" fits. (it really just makes a traditional nock) - you stick it in dry, vane your bolt just laike any other arrow, them remove it and reuse it in the next one. You can get them (and the orange nocks) from Tenpoint and/or Lancaster Archery.
Also, I cut the scrap into a very short bolt that when I use AL inserts and AL rounded blunts I got the same finished bolt weight. For thoese I use a standard unibushing and nock for a (I forget what size) but a big fat size. The inside of the unibushing is big enough that I can set the bolt inside w/the AL blunt glued in. Once the vanes are set, I re-use the unibushing and nock...
OH YEA - I need to say, I use a Cabelas jig that sets 3 vanes at once and can clamp the arrow shaft pretty tight with that so the fact the nock isn't locked tight doesn't matter. With the Tenpoint nocks it doesn't matter - any standard fletcher will work.
The best way is use Tenpoint Superbrite (sp?) Nocks and nocking tool. Call Lancaster Archery - they can help.
I set you a video clip in the "how to" section if you are interested.
