I recommend you observe the minimum manufacturer recommended weight on the overall bolt for sure. But it is your choice.

I liked to stay notably below the "minimum" and shot 125 grain Muzzy fixed-blades on the end of 2219 aluminum bolts. Even then I finished out something like 460 something overall. My Stealth X-2 would still stick 9" in woodland soil after punching through a doe.

I like the 125's, seem to hold a group better out of my Quad 400, and actually bury deeper in the target foam--(pain in the kiester to pull them out of target foam, highly recommend a bag target for the crossbow, by the way)

try a carbon express maxima with the weight forward design and a muzzy 4 blade 125,you will be amazed 4 in groups@80 yards with a pse viper 150#
