Yea I know I placed that food block out over a month ago and the deer didn't even touch it till this past week I am going to take it out tomorrow, but I don't plan to hunt this properity for a few weeks after the season opens.

I would not give up on this spot...you have found a doe and her young'uns...round about muzzle loader season you may find an older buck checking her out. Also, about first rifle season you may find an older buck staying with her. Find a spot between the bedding areas and feed areas and hang a stand or set up a ground blind...you'll get one eventually, remember that this young buck has a daddy!
You are right about leaving that 1.5 year old. Let him walk as long as you can about 2 yrs from now he might have a good rack. Keep the minerals out and after the season closes in January you need to either have a sustainable food plot or be feeding.
