Well I just started hunting this year. I set up a trail cam and got one spike at the beginning of the summer. He was the only buck I had gotten all summer till now. I got some advice from you guys and after not checking my camera for two weeks I got to come back. He is now a young 3pt guess I have to let him walk this year in hopes in is something next year, but just wanted to say thanks for all the advice its finaly paying off.

He wouldn't be my first buck but he would be my first buck with a bow. I killed one 6 point last year, looking to get my first buck with a bow this year so he may fall to the drenalin just not sure yet.

Nice pics Canon. I'm not the law or anything but you may want to remove that "food" block next to your trace mineral in order to be legally hunting on that property. I think it's 10 days prior to hunting it. Good luck hunting!

Lay him out, it will build confidence.

Yea I know I placed that food block out over a month ago and the deer didn't even touch it till this past week I am going to take it out tomorrow, but I don't plan to hunt this properity for a few weeks after the season opens.

I would not give up on this spot...you have found a doe and her young'uns...round about muzzle loader season you may find an older buck checking her out. Also, about first rifle season you may find an older buck staying with her. Find a spot between the bedding areas and feed areas and hang a stand or set up a ground blind...you'll get one eventually, remember that this young buck has a daddy!
You are right about leaving that 1.5 year old. Let him walk as long as you can about 2 yrs from now he might have a good rack. Keep the minerals out and after the season closes in January you need to either have a sustainable food plot or be feeding.
Good Luck! Great pics of the fawns!

Like I said I haven't killed a buck with a bow and I am ready to stick one with my new Drenalin however I am not playing on hunting this property for a few weeks because a buddy will be taking my to some better places so hopefully I will stick a buck before I even hunt here and in that case I will let the 3pt walk but I am thinking if I haven't killed one when he walks past he is coming down just so I get the first one out of the way and build some confidence before I head of to the big Oak Ridge baby. I got drawn for Tower Shieldings I am so excited!
