I need to mount a scope on my Garand. If I have to keep the end of the scope forward of the chamber; I will need about 14” of eye relief.
I have looked at the Leupold and Burris Scout scopes, but $300 for a 2X scope seems like too much.
Has anyone here used the Bushnell Trophy 2-6x 32mm? It’s listed on the Bushnell site as a rifle scope; most other places list it as a handgun scope. It’s $155 at Midway.
TIA for any other ideas.

The one I have is a pistol scope, as are any of the others I have seen. Good quality and a fair price. You can usually find used ones for around $100-110, so the new price you quoted sounds fair. I am not saying they don't make this model in a rifle scope, but for a scout rifle the pistol scope just might work.

Here is some first hand experience with both the Leupold and Burris scopes.
I have had a Leupold M8 2x eer (extended eye relief) mounted on an Ithaca Deerslayer 12ga for over 20yrs now, I have NEVER had to readjust it since it's initial sighting in. It is mounted on the barrel and takes quit a beating with recoil. My uncle has the same set up on his for over 30+ yrs with no problems at all.
I purchased a Burris variable 1.5-4x for one of my handguns (.357 mag) I have knocked the crosshairs out of it twice and the last time received a letter from Burris stating they would not repair or replace it if it happened again. So much for the lifetime warranty. I would never purchase another Burris product.
I have several Bushnell scopes, mounted on various rifles. Mostly small arms (.22, 30/30) I have not had any complaints with any of them. I am not fimiliar with the specific model you are asking about, but will only state you get what you pay for when it comes to optics.
