I'm looking to buy a new harness. What kind do you guys use and why? I like the Hunter safety system vest. I like the idea of it not getting tangled up easily and having pockets on the vest. What kind do you like?

I have the regular seat-of-the-pants harness. If I had to do it over again, I would buy one of the vest-type harnesses. Mind is easy to get tangled up especially when you are putting in on in the dark. I finally had to paint the matching snaps on my harness with different colors to help put it on more easily.

I use a Summit SOP Fastback harness . It's easy to get into and use for climbing as well as a safety harness .

I have a harness that will get tangled up and can be a pain when it's dark. I was thinking about the Hunter Safety System that's mesh until I saw a vest at Wal-Mart for $18 that you unzip, put your safety harness inside of, and zip it back closed so now it's in a vest. This will be the first year to try it but it looks and seems like it will be fine.

May have to check that out Gravey, I'm like you mine is such a pain to get in and out of I don't even like to use it. I was planning on getting the Hunter's Safety System Vest myself.

I use a Summit SOP Fastback harness . It's easy to get into and use for climbing as well as a safety harness . That is what I have and I love it. the smaller straps are a lot better for bowhunting and out of the way.

You can wear this under your outer layer and it is out of the way.

I just bought the Hunters Safety System vest the other day at Bass Pro. I think I'm going to like it alot better than my old one.

My harness is attached to a military load bearing vest. Easy to get into. All my gear is carried and my stand attaches to it.
