Can you use feathers instead of plastic vanes on crossbow bolts?
Every since I've had my crossbow, something on the rail cuts the bottom vein as it goes through the channel. It doesn't appear to affect the flight of the arrow, but I'm tired of replacing veins. I thought I might try feathers to see if this would fix the issue.

Yes you can use feathers instead of vanes. You still need to look at the exact spot of damage on the vanes and try and determine where the problem is on your rail or Im afraid it will eventually cut through and damage your feathers as well.

Thanks, I'll give the feathers a try today and see how it turns out.
