Been doing some research and narrowed it down to three cameras I feel like might be good for the money. The Covert MP 8, Moultrie 880i, and Browning Spec Ops XR. So now I'd like to hear what you guys think of these three. Got pics from any of these (I'd like to see)? Any camera I should add to the list of considerations? Positive or negative let me have it. Thanks

Avoid Moultrie. I bought into the temporary good reviews they had on the 2013 models and my 2014 wasn't so great.. neither was the replacement.

Never used Browning and Covert is my go to choice.

I use the Moultrie 880 and the Browning (I have a strike force though). So far, I have been more impressed with the Browning. The moultrie takes good quality pictures...when it takes them. Opening day of muzzle loader I had to drag my buck directly in front of my 880 at about 35-40 feet and it never triggered to take a picture. I even waved to the camera hoping that I would have a fun picture on my next pull lol. When I buy new cams before the new season I will for sure go with Browning.

People will laugh because their reputation went in the toilet the past couple of years, but I really think Stealth Cam has a winner with their new G42 cam. I have recently deployed one and will be checking it in a few weeks. Check out the reviews:

I have several Covert MP8 Black cams. I like them, but I don't like that they don't record sound in video mode. I really enjoy listening to the sound in video mode, and I use video mode much more than picture mode because video mode reveals so much more about the deer.

The Browning Spec Ops XR is a much more capable camera than the Covert MP8 Black. It also costs a fair bit more. It is better compared to the Covert Extreme Black 60.

I would put the Covert MP8 Black, Browning Dark Ops and the Stealth Cam G42 in the same category (although the Dark Ops and G42 both record sound and the MP8 black does not). They are all about the same price. I own all 3 of them. I need more time to evaluate the Stealth Cam G42, but I like it's feature set the best out of these 3 cams.

The Browning Spec Ops XR and the Covert Extreme Black 60 would be in the same category.

I have never owned or used a Moultrie cam, so I can't comment on them.

I have heard nothing but good things about browning cameras. I have friends that swear by them .

I can't speak for the other two but I've had really good luck with the Covert MP6. I have three of them that I am currently using. They take pretty decent night time pictures/videos and I have not had any technical issues with any of them.

I have the Covert MP8 and it's a great little camera! Good pics, good sensitivity and battery life is amazing!

I have started using the browning Dark OPS camera this year and they are great. Great Pics /trigger speed. I also use Covert MP8 black, and Covert extreme black 60. I do not think you could go wrong with any of the cameras that you have mentioned. All great cameras.
