How often do you set your camera to take a picture? 1,3,5 min. or longer?

That depends on the set-up. Over food-bait or a salt lick, I set my minimum picture delay to 5 minutes. I don't want to spook the deer too much by having the flash go off constantly.

Over a food plot, I will have the cameras take 2 pictures per trigger with a minimum delay of 2 or 5 minutes, depending upon how much use that particular food plot is seeing. Considering how hard food plots are going to get hit this year, I will probably use a 5 minute delay.

On a trail or scrape, I set my cameras on "trail mode" (only available with homebrew trail-cams--takes a picture with any movement for 30 seconds after it is first triggered) with a 1 minute minimum delay.

Only thing I do differently than Bryan is on a trail setup I use the mininmum delay; usually 5 secs during the day and 10secs at night to allow for the flash to recharge(homebrew cams). Between that and having the cam in activity mode/trail mode, I figure there is never more than a 10-15sec period at worst where the cam is not rdy if a deer comes by.

I seldom go longer than 2 weeks between cam checks and with 250-300pics on a memory stick, I almost never have one fill up on a trail setup or the batteries run down either.
