I have often wondered how long it took a buck to shed his velvet---now I know. This buck went from full velvet to none in 24 hours. The first thing I noticed when I went to check the camera was a couple of rubs that weren’t there Monday. These deer are using a man-made funnel on the side of a mountain. My only problem is the time of day he is passing through. In the third picture he is looking up into the tree I have hunted out of. Figures, as soon as the antlers get hard he starts looking up!

I grew up in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and have never deer hunted there. This is a Tennessee deer.
