Video: http://youtu.be/xNxhmv7rz5s

Buddy of mine said I could try and kill a deer in his backyard so I figured I'd try and get a doe after getting off work this afternoon. They came filtering in around 5:30 or a little later, and the first one to step broadside into a shooting lane got the thunderhead treatment at 19 yards. It completely broke the leg bone in two, the leg was floppy and she bulldozed her way about 50 yards and died. Direct heart shot. My buddy wasn't at home but was also hunting somewhere else so I texted him that one was down.

Since these urban deer are unpressured (they are not tame) they are fairly easy to kill so I told myself I was going to sit on the ground using only the trees and bushes for cover for more of a challenge. Bow ninja style. It was an easy but awesome hunt and the deer is iced and going to HFTH in the morning. They were eating the acorns pretty hard. Lots of green and acorns in her stomach.

It's funny I don't even grip the bow when I shoot a target, but when shooting a deer all I think about is making sure the peep is lined up and holding the pin steady behind the leg
