Don't wanna break the bank but wanting two good easy to use vests that are comfortable. Tired of the old ones that come with stands

I had a gorilla harness. I'm not sure of the name but it has been updated. Very comfortable and long tether. Too bad it got stole. Now I have a hss ultra lite. I hate it.

Black diamond rock climbing harness there is no better imo
Light weight
Not hot like a vest
Connects in the front so if you fall you will be facing the tree
And can be used like a lines man to set stands

I have a climbing harness now as well. I bought mine from TwentyFeetUp who is no longer in business. But its very similar to the Black Diamond one.

Summit Seat of the Pants harnesses. Worn 'em for years, but I was noticing that Cabela's carries new models with some new features like Binocular holders and cartridge loops.

THe tether does not get in the way at all. You wont even know its there. I have a black diamond rock climbing harness and will never go back to the vest style harness. If you haven't tried one on just to see if you like it, you are missing out.

This may be the route I end up taking. I've done a lot of rock climbing in the past and they are pretty comfortable as long as you get your ummmmm junk out of the way \:\)

I have heard bad things about the vests with suspension trauma.

I don't think it's a coincidence that just about everyone who says they are using a rock climbing harness also says they will never go back to using a standard treestand harness. I'm also a user of the Black Diamond BOD climbing harness and I will never go back to a regular treestand harness.

This: BLACK DIAMOND Bod Climbing Harness

plus this: Hunter Safety System Rope-Style Tree Strap

is the winning combination.
