Starting to gather things for my spring snow goose hunt. I was told by outfitter to bring plenty 3 inch shell's BB size. Just looking at our local sporting goods store there is at least 8 different brands...some cheap some expensive....what to do what to do ? I found them from around $11 a box up to $27 a box. Not being into waterfowl hunting in a long time I lost track of what works and what don't.

Federal blue box, estates, or Kent's. I would stay with low-mid price range ammo. But if it's your 1 hunt a year I would shoot 3.5 inch heavi metal or drylock

drylock is the best, imo, shells are the cheapest part of any hunt

Only problem with shooting a ton of cheep shells you better plan to clean your gun almsot dayly. All the cheep steelshot and some of the better ones are really dirty shooting and will leave a lot of unburned powder in the inside of your gun.
