Any one throw them? Or use them for hunting/camping/etc?

If so, what kind do you have/prefer?

Saw a video of someone throwing one, and seemed pretty neat. \:\)

Carried one in the Army.
My favorite weapon for hand to hand.
Don't throw it, use it in the left hand, a knife in the right.
Them Spaniards down in Central America used to point at us and jabber when they saw them strapped to our packs.
My cousin said the same thing about the folks in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Universal whoopazz.

I carried a SOG in Iraq for a while but it became a burden since I never could get it rigged so that it wouldn't bounce off my leg with every step. It did fine for a couple years but one day, I threw it at a pine and it hit handle first and snapped the handle where it met with the steel. I dunno if it was because of the searing heat of iraq or what but that was my last one.

I like the SOG and Cold Steel models myself.
There's a guy in town--I think he's the guy that makes them for the Special Forces guys, but he ain't cheap.
They're niiiiiiice.

I want one that throws well...for those times when it's slow at camp. But I also want one that's good for camp chores and stuff.

Where I work we forge 1 of tomahawks for rmj tactical... like mentioned above they are top of the line and don't come cheap.

The Shrike is the 1 we forge I think. They throw extremely well too!

You'll put your eye out.

Seriously, I was watching a guy throw a tomahawk at Sawgrass down in Everglades, Broward County. All I could think of was how much more effective a 380 was.

It'd be a last resort for defense. I'd have it for camp chores, and stuff like that.

I just want to throw it for fun. \:\)
