I hung a stand under a white oak that is absolutely dumping them by the dozen. I park at work under a couple of pin Oakes and my truck bed is full of acorns. I've notice them in the streets of some large over hanging Oakes in town. It seems in lincoln county that there dropping early and often.

My oaks in Carroll County are still holding acorns; persimmon trees are loaded with green fruit; Also, I'm just putting in plots this week, so opening of bow season will likely focus on travel corridors leading into standing ag fields...

I do have a stand actually IN a pin oak, and last weekend it was loaded with them, but not raining down yet. I suspect they are starting to fall about now tho.
