I bought a piece of land in Rutherford county with a single wide trailer that's 70 feet long. It definitely needs some interior repair but could be repaired. My question is has anyone ever sold an older trailer or torn them down. I don't like the ides of paying to have it torn down and don't want it recycled on my property because of the mess. Ive been told that theres not much money in recycling the metal but I don't really know. Thanks

you would still have a mess to clean-up but like he said you could contact local fire dept and let them train on it

I talked to a neighbor who is a fireman in Murfreesboro and he said that there are so many restrictions on what can be burned that you would have to pretty much remove everything but the 2X4s.

I'd put it on Craigslist for cheap and keep moving the price down until someone bought it. Let them worry with it.

Would make a nice shooting house. \:\)

Unless I was right by or in the city limits, I'd burn the darned thing if I wanted to regardless of burning restrictions. When we reach the point where we can't burn garbage on our own rural property, I want no part of being an American anymore.

I remember helping my dad and a friend of his strip a single wide trailer down to the frame one time. It was miserably filthy work.

I sold one that needed a lot of work. I'm sure I could've gotten more, but I accepted an offer for $3K. They came and got it the next day. About the only effort I had to put into it was fixing a couple of my raised garden beds they ran over getting it out (they were saving some trees I wanted to keep).
