My dad and I spent the day yesterday on the Tennessee River with Richard. We had a blast. Caught well over 60 pd of fish. Hung into a couple big ones but never seen what they were. Dad pulled in a nice 14 pd flathead. Overall experience was awesome. Richard exceeded my expectations for this trip. Would recommend for anyone that wanted to get away for some great fishing and even better memories. I will definitely be looking into another trip in the future.

I have fished with Richard Simms at least 5 times. I have never had a trip with him that did not exceed my expectations. Besides the fishing part of it, he is just a great guy and fun to spend a day on the water with.

Thanks Postal Rage. I was just coming here to post a report. You beat me to the punch... but here's what I was going to say:

"[Postal Rage] and his Dad came down and fished with me Saturday.

It wasn't a fast & furious kind of day by any means, but we captured a few respectable catfish ... and had LOTS of fun.

The bonus was watching Charles reel in a hefty little flathead. I don't catch too many of those. They're a special fish.

The good news, we got a few "big fish" bites yesterday -- bigger than these, much bigger! The bad news, we broke off three and had another one just come unbuttoned.

Postal and his Dad were very cool about it (although Charles made it clear he really wanted to break the 30 lb. barrier).

When good things happen, the guide takes credit... so when bad things happen, the guide takes the blame. I should have re-spooled, re-tied, geared up or otherwise done SOMETHING different. Bad guide. \:\(

But my boat is hooked up and I am heading for the river right now, so I suppose life is still good and gettin' better every day. "

Thanks for coming.

No Richard, no blame for being a bad guide at all. Never thought it for a minute. Thanks again for a day on the water.

Richard's great. Even a landlubber like me was able to catch fish.

He asked me if it was the biggest cat I ever caught. Ha... not only was it the biggest, it might have been the first catfish I even caught on rod and reel.
