Had some success on our annual WY family vacation. Our new baby got to go on her first hunt and she turned out to be a lucky charm!

Here are some pictures of the trip, enjoy!

Really cool pictures. What did you wife and baby do while you were hunting? I have small kids, and I'm curious how y'all handled a trip like this.

Antelope hunting is far different from any other type of hunting. I basically hunted a couple hours in the morn and after I went back to camp and cooked breakfast we drove around the backroads and 2-tracks and looked for antelope together. They watched me put on a couple stalks and actually watched me kill the antelope as well.

I only hunted for 2 days and the remaining days were spent as a true family vacation, hunting was just an added bonus.

The wife and baby also flew, so if needed i could have stayed a few more days and hunted.

Love the pictures TC! I really like the idea of turning the hunt into a family vacation.

Sweet pictures. I'm glad to see some western hunts starting to show up on the board.

A WY antelope hunt is one of the best "family" or "group of guys" hunt I think you can go on. You hunt antelope all day, so getting up early before sunrise can actually hurt you and that leaves more time to devote to enjoying the adventure versus trying to kill something. Plus, if you draw a decent unit you will have more public land and antelope you could ever deal with in a lifetime. Filling your tag (excluding trophy hunting) depends completely on how well you can shoot, unless your luck sucks like mine on that issue and you actually have to hunt hard a little bit.

What is the yield of meat on your average antelope compared to your average Tennessee deer? Is a tag good for just one or can you kill more than one in a trip?
