Just wondering if any of ya'll have used one,and your opinions on them.Also,has anyone ever made one.I just bought one today,and am thinking of either making or buying more for every stand I have.

Yes, they are great. Some of the treestand manufacturers make them (Big Game, Muddy, Lone Wolf, etc.). You can safely make your own if you get quality materials and know what you're doing.

Was thinking about getting the Big Game ones,because they are about fifteen bucks cheaper.

I have been thinking about switching to using one. My only concern is leaving them out in the elements for any extended period of time. I would be worried about some animal chewing the rope and creating a weak point in the system. I guess there are always concerns with switching to a new system.

Anyone have any experience with this happening?

I have them on all our ladder stands, I have one in the tree I use my climber in and I keep 2 spares in my 4 wheeler for anyone who needs one. I love them and they hold up well in the weather. I ordered a 3 or 4 pack of them last year for about 80 bucks. You wont regret it and the added safety you cant even put a price on.

The only thing I didn't like about it was the new stink it had on it out of the pack.Kinda hated to leave it,but I guess a couple of rains will take care of that.
