I might have to eventually look for a short shaft lower unit for the ol 35 so I can run more of the caney and other such small rivers. I will run up the caney from the mouth but won't make it to the first bridge. Scared of the water dropping and getting me stuck somewhere...

but for wading for trout I still haven't done that and I need to give it a try some time.

Quit goofing off and get a jet conversion for that thing already!

considering the money involved and the loss of HP I don't really want a jet.

Sorry Ruger, I forgot the question you first posted. I fish at least 3 times a week on rivers that have a posted generation schedule on the TVA Resevoir site. I can't remember the last time the generation schedule didn't run exactly as scheduled.

Thanks again everyone.

My biggest reason for asking wasn't really for safety, which that did play a part of it, but more so, if I am gonna travel 3 1/2 hours one way and spend the money to get there, back and a room, I wanna be FAIRLY confident I can fish. \:D

Ruger, the schedules are very accurate. But, as we have discussed on TNdeer before, it is aggravating that you can't get the predicted discharge/generation schedule for the Corps of Engineering lakes like you can for the TVA lakes. Maybe the COE just doesn't make it available, but for the TVA dams you can look a couple of days ahead and plan accordingly. Not so for the CoE dams. As someone pointed out, you don't know about the Center Hill/Caney river until after 4:00 p.m. (or so) for the next day. Makes planning a little more difficult.
