Hey all I'm just looking for some opinions, I killed my best buck ever November 12 of 2012, that night I dropped him off at Lonewolf Taxidermy in Lewisburg, after paying a 200$ deposit the taxidermist(Kyle) told me it would be about a year which I was ok with, my problem is its closing in on 2 years and still no deer and more importantly absolutely no communication, I have called his shop about 50 times and left messages each time,He's has never returned my phone calls, I even stopped by his shop a few times and he's never there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

Keep hammering him. One thing you could do is do a write up in the Columbia paper (not sure if Lewisburg has one) asking him to contact you publicly and asking for anyone else to that may have any info. Just a thought

I never rush my taxidermist, not a good thing to do.. But 2 years and no communication...?? I would go by his house when you know he's there and knock on the door. Be nice and just ask about your deer and why it's took so long.

I once had to wait 2+ years for a couple heads also. But when I finally caught the taxi there, his mother had been sick for several months and had passed. Then right after that his mother-in-law passed in Texas. So I understood why and realized they are people just like us and have family matters that are more important than work.

This may not be your case here, but it may be.. So don't get angry with him right off the bat... ;\)

I'm definitely trying to be understanding, all I ask is for a return phone call and a timeframe of completion, I'm easy to get along with, but this deer is very important to me as its the biggest I've ever taken , and was killed on a friends farm who has since passed on. I actually just found out that he's the current president of the Tennessee Taxidermy Association so I have another avenue to get in touch with him. Thanks for the info

Been there done that and got the T-shirt on my son's first turkey (not at this taxidermist). A little communication goes a long way. Good luck!

I have been contacted by him and am satisfied with the response, hopefully my buck will be hanging in my home in the near future and I will post a picture of the finished product. That's what great about this site, it reaches out into the hunting community
