wanted to know if any of our "husky"boys use treadmills and if anyone is heavier than the capacity limits.reason being im trying to make a commitment to loose weight and doing so purchased a treadmill, upon arrival i found weight limit lower than advertised by 50 pounds.so now i will be 50 pounds over the capacity.anyone had this and treadmill works fine, slips, burns up?dont want to waste close to a grand by burning up motor or void warranty.

We have a TM at the house, and it has a "big boy" weight limit. I think ours is 350#. Most home TMs have a 225 limit. Higher weight limits are out there, you have to do your homework and pay some (a lot) extra.

I bought a used one a few years ago from a coworker for $200.

Didn't even think to check the weight limit. I was 50 lbs over it, and used it for quite a while before having to replace the belt ($75).

Not sure if that was the issue or just wear from use.

Keep the belt lubed often, and avoid slow speeds. As long as the belts not sticking and your moving you should be fine, I have a Big Boy at home, ours is rated for 300, he was 345 whe he started, diet work outs and walking has him at 295 now!!!
