I've been using snuffers for 20 years or more, even with my compound. right now my set up is a 500 spine with 175gr FP and BHs. I'm also at a frustrating point at the moment. earlier in the year I bought 2 sets of GT 3555, wrapped and fletched them up, shot great with FP and stumping heads all summer. I put on BHs last week and they hit the target 12" lower than the fp consistently.
back to the drawing board.

If they are in line vertically with your field points, maybe all you have to do is lower your nocking point a little to raise the poi of your snuffers.

My ground hunting bow will throw GT 35/55 tipped with Ace Express 200 grainers. When I do climb a tree, that particular bow will either fling GT 55/75 or Easton Axis 400 tipped with big snuffers.

I am concerned that will throw my FPs and small game heads higher. any experience with that? I want all 3 hitting the same spot.

The problem may be with the big snuffers trying to plane and steer the arrows from the front. I would bet a smaller three blade or better yet a two blade wouldn't present as much a problem. What is your fletch orientation, 3x5?

"3x5?" yep.

I also think it's my brain. lol. I got home last night after the sun had set and grabbed 2 arrows out of the new batch. one I had fletched Saturday and one I had been shooting all summer. the one I had fletch Saturday is uncut. I was going to start the routine of shooting and cutting until I got good flight.
meanwhile I had grabbed those 2, put BHs on them, walked out to about 15 steps from the target, drilled both in the kill of the turkey. pulled those walked back to 20 steps, drilled it. stepped in my shed and grabbed a stumping arrow with a blunt head, drill it between the 2 arrows at about 25 steps.
sometimes I get in a mode of trying to find something wrong (when it's not) and create a problem.

I always call that "hunt'n boogers", I'm borderline OCD, if it aint exaclty on the money I stress, forever try'n to run down something wrong, now I'm thinking the OCD tends to create a mental wall with my shooting.

As far as the arrows go, thinking to fletch up some 2117 aluminums & go old school.
