Carbine. I found one in 50 cal at a decent price , how do the compare to a t/c Hawkins ?

I have one and the differences are slight. The lock is the same. Mine shoots very well.

a friend of mine bought one for 50 bucks and while sighting in our inline guns we shot it for fun.80 grains of pyrodex and a powerbelt bullet three shooters three bullseyes at 50 yards.it suprised all of us how accurate it was.

i still hunt with mine and it shoots fine. i bought it brand new back in 1990. Think i paid about $260 for it and put it on layaway at a local gun shop.

I pickup the rifle today, love the carbine but unsure if I like the half octagon half round barrel .what loads are y'all shooting ?

i shoot 90gr. goex under a 385 gr hornady great plains.
