I finally have a boat once again. That means I have 3 years of bass tournament, catching up to do.

I was thinking of hosting a Tndeer.com Forum Chickamauga lake, Tournament in early September (6th, 13th, or 20th.)

3 fish limit.
Safelight to 2:PM
$25 entry fee with $5 going to big fish pot.

1 place paid for every 6 boats. (Only one angler per boat must be a Tndeer.com forum member)

We can have it at Wolftever, Harrison Bay, Grasshopper, Dayton Boat Dock, or 58 Bridge ramp. I am open to just about any Chickamauga ramp except Chester Frost and River Park.

If anyone is interested let me know.

I dont know anything about the chic, but I have really been wanting to fish it for sometime. My wife's grandparents live in Harrison, right off 57 and hickory valley. Can see the lake through the trees from their house. Really need to get up there and fish it sometime.

I feel sorry for ya fellas. That place is a madhouse with some of the rudest fisherman I have ever encountered in my life...and that is just from what I've seen in the middle of the week. I would hate to see it on a Saturday when even more are on the water. All the publicity for being a big bass fishery, has people coming from all over the place to fish it, and it is probably one of the most pressured lakes in this area. My dad went to the BassFest thing and watched the weigh ins, and made a trip down to the Nuke plant a few weeks after the tournament was over...and he said the spot that KVD and some of the others fished, was so full of bass boats that it looked like an armada sitting out there. Everybody was throwing white jigs. lol Same as last yr when the FLW Tour came and it was won with the A-Rig...everybody you seen on the water was throwing an A-Rig after that.

My advice...if you go, bring a pistol, rifle, and a few thousand rounds of ammo, and prepare to defend yourself.

I bought me a 98 Stratos 295 PE with a Yamahammer on it. No Evinrudes for me ever again. The boat and motor looks like I went back in a time machine and picked it up in 1999. It is slick and low hours. Our buddy Skillet is suppose to fish with me on this torunament. You ought to come out and take our money.

I will let you guys decide. If you want a small tournament I can limit it to Tndeer.com members and a guest. If you want something larger I can promote it as an open tournament and get a lot more boats.

Let me know what you want to do.

According to the Chickamauga Lake map Dayton Boat Dock is at mile 504 and Harrison Bay is at 479. So if it is correct it is 25 miles.

Tophat and Winchester both fishing, this ought to be good.

The newly formed, Sale Creek High School Bass Club may also piggy back our tournament for exposure to a tournament. I told them they could sign up separately, fish it, weigh in with us, but to stay legal could not win any money. (I may find a prize to donate to the school in the name of the highest club finisher) They are week two of organization so this is just to give them their first look at a how a tournament is run.

Yes. We have priority over all other vessels. The City of Dayton formed a partnership with Dayton Boat Dock (FLW Pro Michael Neal owns it)to promote big events. They use local homeland security to provide parking support and crowd control on big events. I hosted a large tournament there in April and they are very impressive.

Fish Dayton Website. All the info you need is here on the venue

Rules are simple:

3 Fish Limit
NO DEAD FISH Will Be Weighed
15" Green (Spots are 15" too)
18" Brown

All live wells will be inspected.
Boats must have working Live wells.
ICE and add additives to your live wells to help fish survive.
