Went to lease Sat and generally worked on food plots, checked cameras, etc. Felt hot all day but thought I drank enough, including water and two Gatorades. Outside about 8 hours and rode ATV some during that time. Drove back to Nashville showered and rested, but did not feel well. ended up passing out in recliner, son called 911, ambulance came, spent night at hospital. All OK now after multiple tests.

BE CAREFUL and make sure to drink enough, right from the beginning of the day. I think I started out slow with the water and that got me off on the wrong foot.

DO NOT ignore symptoms of general illness. When my blood pressure started dropping I went downhill fast- in minutes.

I have gotten too hot outside a few times and had to stop working, but I had NEVER dehydrated before, not even in construction work years ago.

Yep, I'm in very good shape and got dehydrated about 1 month ago. It was an awful feeling!

I just wanted to remind everyone that it can happen to you even if it never happened before.

Glad that you're feeling better. They say that if you are feeling thirsty then you are already too dehydrated. So drink lots of water folks, even before you get thirsty.

Wow man glad you have recovered. It can happen fast. I almost passed out last Saturday working on a building for Habitat for Humanity. I had to take a break and drink a lot of water and eat a bannana before I felt better. I was a little scared for a bit.
