Anyone else going to see them tomorrow?

The U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, fly the world-renowned Delta Formation over downtown Nashville on June 12. The Blue Angels traveled to Nashville in preparation for their performance at The Great Tennessee Air Show in Smyrna, Tenn., June 14-15.

The Blue Angels and Thunderbirds are a site to see. I had the honor to help support both back in 1973 at the Top Gun Base in Miramar, CA.

They are. Seen them do their show over Lake Michigan when I was a kid. It was an annual event.
Went to Pensacola a few years ago so my boy could see them, but we were rained out.
So he'll finally be able to see them tomorrow.

Buzzed my office and house yesterday. What time are they flying tomorrow? Have baseball game at 10:45 in Smyrna so I'm sure we'll see quite a bit.

Not to keep hijacking, but there is just as much of a pecision show behind the stage to keep these birds going at the pace that they perform.
I am so proud to be an American and also to have served for this great Country of ours.

Think the air show starts at noon and goes to 4.
I assume the BA's will probably be last.
Think there's a P-51 mustang in the mix as well which I'd like to see.

The 'practice' show they put on in Pensacola is very very nice. I still like seeing those birds in the air, I practically start singing the National Anthem.

Worked the shows for many years be it Static Display, SAR or set up and teardown. They put on a great show up front and the maintainers keep those aircraft in top shape for the show.

We have a local construction contractor who has a P-51 and has flown with 2 other guys at several airshows. Watched them returning from the Offutt show. They came up the river about tree top high flying in a pretty tight formation, then Mike peeled off and went almost straight up and came around and landed as the other 2 headed towards the East. Either last year or the year before I think they flew over the start of the Talladega race.

Living near DC for a few years, went to the air show at Andrews every year for Armed Forces Day. Saw both the Tbirds and the BA. If you've never seen either one, they are definitely worth going to see.

If you like the Blue Angels now, you should have seen them when they were still flying A-4's. Much tighter turns, better performance in maneuvers, they did a lot of stuff the F-18's can't even dream about.

Saw them many times in Millington, but from the beach @ the Pensacola Beach Air Show was by far the best experience.

What aircraft did they fly in the mid '80's.
Too young at the time to notice.

I live in Annapolis and see them flying for three day when the mid's graduate from the naval academy in may. I live on the bay and a lot of people wake down to the beach to watch them flying over the bay.

We were getting ready to start our baseball game and a plane drew a smiley face right up above us. I told our kids I better not see them looking up at planes. Thankfully none came over during the game. Afterward my son and I went to eat with my parents and then stopped on Weakley Lane to watch the Blue Angels. My wife said she could see them from the house but we're out across the lake so you don't see all the cool moves. Took several videos and here's a couple pics. The solo is right over us.

You were pretty close too Gravey. We were driving towards the smiley face, so figured we were going the right way. Decent show, other than traffic.
Here's one of Fat Albert (very impressive) and a few others.

I hope they will be here this fall. There is usually a nice airshow here in Millington late August/early September. They were MIA last year because of the sequester.

I saw Fat Albert while we were driving to get parked. Didn't know what it was called though.

A-4's at least until 85 or 86, can't say when they changed. The next time I saw them fly was in Hawai'i in the 90s and they were flying the F-18s.

I saw them in Virginia Beach a couple years ago. I don't know if they do the same show over land as they did over water but it was pretty awesome.
