I've used Gerber for years...and had to replace them about every two years on average. They cut great., but the blades can bend and snap, and the handles eventually crack at the folding point. I'm ready for one that will cut as well as the gerber but last ten years.
It's not rocket surgery, for crying outside!

Gerbers are absolute junk since they outsourced them to china..just like everything else made in China. Silkys are by far the best I have ever used. They are constructed of quality materials that LAST.

Haha, I have an "outdoor products" folding saw from "The Wal-Mart." for ~ $5. I got it so hot cutting one night, at a campfire I bent the blade at a 90 degree angle. I placed in the fire coals for a few hours and re-worked it. It still works but that silkie saw looks great. I might consider one sometime.

My Gerber plastic handle saw broke last year and I had cut very little with this saw it wasn't even 2 seasons old.

Anybody ever use a silk???

I've heard good things. I don't bother to back my gerber anymore it's too much effort to cut anything over a couple inches.

"WICKED" Todd's products are awesome and he is a stand up guy, avid hunter. I have not used a better saw!

Impressive video considering the limb was limp if you will (not being held steady with other hand). The saw in the video must've been really sharp. Thanks for sharing.
