I have not killed a bunch of birds so I'm in no way an expert on how these things react.

However, I've had one try to get away, I've been spurred, and just this year when doubling up my bird was dead but a friends bird stood up about 5 feet away from me. needless to say there was a fight and I won.

I'll step on the neck just to make sure they are finished.

And my big butt standing on a neck will finish one out I promise.

I don't step on the heads !! IMO it's not right to the birds to do that. I will pick them up by the feet and hold them tight with one foot in each hand !! Yes I have lots of scars on my hands but it's just how I handle them. I have a nice new one from this year that is still not all the way healed !! But the way I look at it every scar on both my hands hold great memories.

You're not suffocating a turkey with your foot. That's basically impossible
You put 300 pounds on my neck and I will suffocate!

LOL Oh come on now Brandon! You and I aint ever killed a turkey, let alone know what to do when we finally do shoot one! \:D Ive always said the exact same thing: once I get a hand around its neck, its OVER.

Shoot, approach the bird, grab him by the neck, and hold your arm out 90* till he expires and the life leaves him. I though the guy telling me this was a loon, till I tried it. You get way less kicking, trashing, wing beating and you never get spured. Every now and then you will get one that will get his toes up to your hand, but he cant pry you off unless your a candy-man. LOL

This is what i do....nobody told me to do it this way its just how i naturally did it except when i pick it up ill pop it like you would a dove

So You think it's not right to the birds to step on thier head , you think they mind getting deceived, then shot in the face? Good stuff!

If you ring the neck you better keep it quiet. You will catch a cruelty to animal charge. I know someone who had a similar experience and got charged with it. They told him it was no different that fighting dogs, shooting dogs, fighting chickens or anything of that nature.
