Nice new toy! I've got one of the RMEF models in 35 Whelen with the 26 inch barrel and laminate stock. The long barrel really helps with ballistics without being a very long rifle overall in the H&R. I've shot 200 yard groups under an inch with the Whelen and the 25/06 should do as well or better I would hope. Good luck and enjoy!

Had a 25-06 just like that one, but with different wood. Awesome shooting gun. Mine would outshoot custom guns. I never shot anything other than Winchester Supreme Ballistic silver tips out of mine. Regret selling, but the guy I sold it to, said it was the first big game rifle he had ever had, that shot like a 22 rifle.
