I missed one at 35 yrds this morning. Missed one last week. Shot my gun twice after this mornings hunt, in a 4x4 bullseye at 30-35 yrds I got 5 pellets in the first shot, and 7 the next shot.. The bulk of the pellets hit to the right and slightly low..
Shooting a jelly head .640 choke with 3" rem 5 shot..

You're in the wrong forum, so I doubt you'll get much feedback here, but I'll tell you what I think. Being I'm no expert, I will give you a few ideas, that may fix your situation.

1. buy a new choke. that is a very constricted choke. I have the Primos tightwad also .640, it hit low and left.
2. buy new shells and see what they do.
3. buy optics for your gun, at least then you can change the point of impact.

A 640 in my opinion is WAY to tight. Most will perform at peak around 665-670. I have a 655 terror tube for my gun, and it blows the pattern wide open with larger than #5's. I cant imagine a 640.

I have a .640 in my gun. BUT......it is very, very picky. Federal 2oz #5 is what I shoot. Very tight pattern. Put 2 1/4 oz in it and it's like shooting an IC choke.

I can't remember why I went that tight when I bought that gun years ago but I did nonetheless. Been good to me. I was lucky a sporting good store in Florence went out of business and I bought about 20 different turkey loads for $2 a box to test with.

Did you not pattern your gun before season, never go into the woods without knowing what you gun does, or how it shoots

start testing loads to find the one your gun likes best. At that range you should be absolutely loading the bullseye with shot!
