I left 20 in the woods yesterday that were about 2" tall. Will the frost we get coming up ruin them or should I just pick them. This same patch last year was 4 times the size per mushroom and we found them on April 21st last year.

When do they stop growing? I still have some shed hunting to do, but if they grow long enough I might get bored later on this spring and it'll be something to do lol

The location is near a popular running spot, surrounded by hardwoods.

Still nothing as of this afternoon. No signs of even popping up. Will the cold snap have a negative effect?

I'm also a week away from when I found them last year. Might still be too early .

The cold won't hurt them. They may just not pop up in the same spot agin this year. Found my largest ever yesterday.
