OK....I'm at witts end. This is the only weekend I'll get to be on the farm until hunting season. Do I risk it and plant this weekend?????

If your talking bow season, I would wait. Because we will probably get just enough rain for it to germinate and then die.

As dry as it is you might be able to plant some wheat and it not germinate until it rains. Maybe if it ever rains it will start raining enought to keep it alive. I wouldn't risk expensive seed like clover and the name brand mixes.

Find one of your TN deer buddies to throw some seed for you when it starts to rain. Go on a put the fertilizer out and alls someone has to do is show up throw the seed and leave.

Hook, i would wait for a definite change in the weather pattern as we have just been too desperately dry over this summer. I want to wait until i see something more definite and positive. We need a strong front out of the gulf to bring in a 2 to 3 day rain......may not happen but if it dont then i am afraid we will be one and done again and that is just too risky to bet the farm on.....imo!!!!!!!!!!!!
